We would like to wish everyone a merry and safe Christmas. 2020 has been a year to remember, or maybe it’s a year we want to just forget. To cap this incredulous year off, we decided to take some puppy photos.
Christmas Puppy Photos
We recently used Jaks as a stud for a female co-owned by Janice Weibel (Amantra Golden Retrievers) and Colby Morita from Puppy In Training. Out of personal preference I normally don’t have litters around Christmas intentionally, so I really never had a chance to take Christmas photos of puppies. This time as the stud owner, it was close enough to Christmas to do a golden retriever puppy Christmas photo shoot.
I asked Colby if we could team up to do photos, which we did a little over a week ago. I planned different photo option after photo option. It never seems to work how I picture it. A few weeks ago I also had planned another photo shoot with another breeder, that I couldn’t do. So I combined ideas and came up with the result below.
My wife Jolene helped me make the Christmas trees and garland for the fireplace. We through some lights around, various decorations, empty presents, stockings, candles and voilà, a Christmas photo shoot with golden retriever puppies. We even had a plate of cookies for Santas, which ended up getting lost in the photo some. To sum it all up, we did group photos, as well as some individual photos.
Merry Christmas
This year has had many trials. Hopefully our photos can give you some cheer in a time it is much needed. So from our family (The Bearden Pack) to yours, merry Christmas.

I loved looking back at these pictures again. My pup had the dark purple collar; in the group photo she’s at the right with the candy cane on her paws and she’s the last pup in the single photos shown. Thank you again for such beautiful photos. Twyla is now 8-1/2 months old and a real charmer. She gets in a lot of trouble, but she’s a blessing in disguise.
